Expectations
All students are expected to be on the gym floor when the bell rings, and they are expected to stay in the locker room until the instructor dismisses them at the bell. Failure to stay in the gym until the final bell rings will result in deduction of points for the day.
Be prepared to suit up every day unless otherwise informed.
Policy for Not "Dressing Out"
If you do not dress out for any other reason, the Physical Education Department Policy below will be followed:
1st Time: Zero for the day. Student is sent to the library to write a report.
2nd Time: Zero, library report, Letter sent home to parent.
3rd Time: Zero, library report, 1 week closed lunch. Parent meeting.
4th Time: Student is dropped from class roster-No Credit,
Five minutes will be allowed for dressing before class. 10 minute bell is just a warning not permission to go dress is at the teacher's discretion Showers will be optional
Acceptable dress for Physical Education students will be a t-shirt with gym shorts or sweats. Tennis shoes are required. Derogatory remarks toward the school, teachers, and others will not be allowed on uniforms. nor will uniforms bearing drug, alcohol, or obscene insignias. Clothing should be washed frequently.
Students will not automatically be excused from dressing out if they have any illness or injury; excuses by a doctor will be accepted.
No students are allowed in the equipment rooms at any time.
Pop, food, candy, and gum will not be allowed in the classroom or in the gym.

All homework and assignments will be expected to be turned in on time, Unless excused by the instructor
Grading
Grading will be a percentage grade. The students need to give a good effort in all activities and exhibit full participation. The student will not be graded on his/her ability but on his/her effort
QUARTER GRADES
70% Participation
20% Written (test, projects)
10% Project fit (fitness testing)
SEMESTER GRADES
40% 1st Quarter grade
40% 2nd Quarter grade
20% Semester Test - Video
