Assessment
the physical fitness assessment program that we will be using at York High School.  The rewards are great for those who excel and those who concentrate their efforts on doing their very best to improve.
There are two portions to the program:
1. The fitness testing that will be done at the beginning of the year and at the end of the year and will count
2. Students will condition at the beginning of each gym day.

Specific Test
Seated Shot Put: test of upper body power
Vertical Jump: test of lower body power
20 Yard Dash: test of speed
Agility Run: test of agility
One Mile Run: test of aerobic endurance
Sit and Reach: test of flexibility
Consecutive Sit-ups: test of core strength
